INTRODUCTION

Watch the video or read the text, it's your choice.

To constantly improve, we need to challenge ourselves.   We need the metaphorical mountain to climb.   It doesn't even need to be a mountain, a hill will do.  We just need something that makes us work harder.

There's not much difference between "objectives/goals/targets/aims" and challenges.  It's all in the perception.

For this context, I see challenge as small, but valuable actions that contribute to something larger.  For example, my challenge might be to do 100 squats for 30 days.  In that case, my objective might be to increase my fitness.

I created these challenges for both myself and you.  As you will see I have split them into different types to make it easier to find something that interests you.

At the time of the first video, March 2020, there is only one challenge, but I will be adding lots more over the coming weeks and months.

I would love to eventually create an app for this, but that's in the long-term.  Please post your experiences as comments on the videos for me and others to read.

10-DAY GUIDED VISUALISATION CHALLENGE

Description

Visualisation is the process of imagining events and situations in your mind. It is also called "Mental Rehearsal" and "Mental Imagery". It is used for a variety of things, including managing nerves, improving confidence, making better descisions on court and even injury recovery. I challenge you to perform visualisation guided by me for 10 days. Everything you need to know is in the video.

Free online squash coaching videos to improve your game

200 CALF-RAISES PER DAY FOR 30 DAYS

Description

I CHALLENGE YOU to do 200 Calf-Raises per day for 30 Days. They don't have to be performed consecutively, but aim to finish the month doing 200 non-stop. This challenge can be performed at the same time as other challenges. Do not accept this challenge if you have any lower-body injuries. Great footwork comes from strong legs. You body is a chain and any weak link makes the chain weak. This is the first challenge in a series of leg-strengthening challenges.

10,000 RACKET FOREARM TWISTS IN 30 DAYS

Description

A simple exercise that will strengthen your forearm, encourage better technique and allow you to hit with more power and control.
